Every move includes basic released value coverage at no extra cost. It pays $0.60 per pound per item, which is the federal standard for household moves. That is enough for most boxes of clothes and kitchen items, but not for a new TV or an antique dresser. That is why we also offer full value protection. With it, a damaged item is repaired, replaced or paid out at its current market value. Your coordinator will explain both options and put your choice in writing before move day.
Some limits are fair to mention upfront. We can't guarantee the contents of boxes you packed yourself unless the box itself shows damage, because we can't see how they were packed. Particleboard furniture that was already loose, items with existing damage noted on the inventory and the inside workings of electronics that arrive without visible damage fall outside the damage-free promise. For the on-time guarantee, delays caused by road closures, snow on mountain passes or elevator problems in your building don't count as late arrivals. We will still call you the moment we know about them.
The money-back guarantee applies to specific services you paid for. If we promised full packing and left rooms half done, or didn't reassemble a bed we took apart, we come back and finish the job for free. If that doesn't work for you, we refund that part of the bill.
We offer these guarantees because we train our crews to avoid the problems in the first place. Floors are covered before the first box moves, every piece of furniture is wrapped and every item is logged. The guarantees are there for the rare day when something still goes wrong.
