Booking & Scheduling

How far in advance should I book my move?

For local moves, 2-3 weeks is usually enough, and we can often fit you in the same week. For summer, weekends and the last days of the month, book 3-4 weeks ahead. Long-distance moves are best scheduled 4-6 weeks out, but call even if your timeline is short.

Do you move on weekends and on holidays?

Yes. We move seven days a week, including most holidays. Saturdays and month-end dates fill up first, so book early if you need one. Weekday moves, especially Tuesday through Thursday, usually give you more choice of arrival times.

Can I get a quote without an in-home visit?

Yes. Most local quotes are done by phone or a quick video walk-through, where you show us each room on your phone. For large homes or long-distance moves, we recommend a video or in-person survey so the estimate matches what actually goes on the truck.

Pricing & Deposits

How do your hourly rates for local moves work?

You pay a set hourly rate for the crew and truck: $225 for 2 movers, $305 for 3 and $385 for 4. There is a 3-hour minimum, and rates can be higher in peak season. The clock starts when the crew arrives at your door and stops when the last item is placed.

Do you require a deposit to book a move?

Local moves need no deposit. We hold your date with a card on file and charge nothing until the job is done. Long-distance moves need a 10% deposit to reserve the date and truck space, and it is applied to your final bill.

Are there any hidden fees I should know about?

No. Blankets, shrink wrap, basic disassembly and reassembly, and fuel for local moves are included. Extras like packing materials, piano handling or storage are listed on your estimate before you book. If something changes on move day, we tell you the cost before doing the work.

Insurance & Claims

Are you licensed and insured in the state of Nevada?

Yes. We are authorized by the Nevada Transportation Authority for moves within the state and hold USDOT and MC numbers for interstate moves. We also carry liability, cargo, auto and workers' compensation insurance. HOA certificates are available on request.

What happens if something gets damaged during my move?

Note any damage on the inventory sheet before the crew leaves, take photos and contact us within 30 days for local moves or 9 months for interstate moves. We confirm your claim within 3 business days and settle most local claims within 30 days.

What is full value protection and do I need it?

Basic coverage is included free and pays $0.60 per pound per item. Full value protection is optional and covers the repair, replacement or current value of damaged items. It is worth considering if you are moving electronics, antiques, art or new furniture.

Moving Day

What should I do to prepare for moving day?

Finish packing the night before, empty drawers of fragile items, and keep keys, documents, medication and chargers with you. Reserve elevators and parking if your building requires it. Clear a path to the door, and have someone at home to walk the crew through each room.

Are there any items your movers can't transport?

We can't carry hazardous items like propane tanks, gasoline, paint, cleaning chemicals or ammunition. We also don't move perishable food, plants on long-distance trips or pets. Keep cash, jewelry and important papers with you rather than on the truck.

Should I tip the moving crew, and how much?

Tipping is never required and is not included in your price. If you are happy with the work, many customers tip $20-$40 per mover for a local move, a little more for long days or heavy items. Water and a snack on a hot day are always appreciated too.

Long-Distance Moves

How long does a long-distance move take?

It depends on distance and whether your goods travel on a dedicated truck. Moves within Nevada or to Southern California often deliver in 1-2 days, and Phoenix or Salt Lake City in 2-3 days. Your estimate lists a delivery window in writing before you book.

Can you store my belongings between two homes?

Yes. We offer short and long-term storage in clean, secure units. Your items stay wrapped and inventoried, and we deliver them when your new home is ready. Storage is billed monthly, and you can combine it with local or long-distance moving.
